ABOUT ME

Bob Batch, Louisville Comedy Legend

Hi I'm Bob Batch. I seek Mastery, not fame. Even so I have been seen on Showtime, A&E, Comedy Central, The Today Show, TNN and heard on thousands of radio shows. Why haven't you heard of me? I stay out of trouble. My act by design is uncontrollable laughter every 18 to 22 seconds, interrupted only by spontaneous applause until you can't breathe. A high energy splat of colorful characterizations woven into a chaotic view of the freak show that somehow makes sense.

I'm a professional who is comfortable in any situation. I've performed 10,000+ shows, including 100's of colleges from Harvard & Yale, to Stanford & UCLA. Most of my work now comes from Corporate Clients and Events which require a "Clean Show." which comes naturally to me. My act is clean, clever and appropriate in any setting without giving up hilarious, riotous, and ridiculous. I've performed for every imaginable group that can be seated together without a fight (and a few that can't) from The Conference of The 50 US Governors, NBA Teams & International Trade Shows, to Comedy Clubs, Cruise Ships, Churches, Colleges, Charities, High School Fundraisers and just plain sleaze-dive bars (wherever English is generally understood).

I learned my trade both on the road and in the fast paced Boston Comedy Scene as showcased in Fran Solamita's movie, "When Stand-up Stood Out." Ray Charles, Leon Redbone, The Oak Ridge Boys, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Todd Rundgren & Utopia, Dickey Betts of The Allman Brothers, Ann Murray, Frankie Valli, The Temptations, Hubert Laws, Wilson Pickett, Tiger Okoshi, B.J. Thomas & Stanley Jordan are among the diverse musical legends who have chosen me to share the concert stage with them. I have Followed Robin Williams on stage in New York. I opened for Joan Rivers on her last tour. She called me "the best act in the country in my price range." Ouch! (Apparently I'm not charging enough for the unique comic genius that is unleashed at my appearances. Such is Life.)

Thanks for your interest. I hope to hear from you. No pressure. Until then I'm livin' the dream, remaining easy to deal with.
